Its Lip Tints MADNESS!

Hello Lovelies

I am into different kinds of lip tints recently. I used to be a person who can go out with full make-up without applying any lip colour. Call me lazy but I just don't like to keep touching up the colour when I know the colour will be gone in like 1-2 hours.

I come to understand the importance of a nice lip colour to bring out the energy, looking better and healthier. Even without any makeup, some colour to the lips will brighten the entire face. I fell in love with lip tints because its longer lasting and mostly are not as dying as some of the long lasting lip sticks, usually the matt ones.

Not all lip tints are lasting to be frank, you have to keep trying to find the right one for you.

I will be sharing my top 3 lip tints at the moment. These 3 lip tints look different, smell different and feel different, but all are able to give the long lasting lips colour without dying the lips. So I thought it will be nice to do a short review for them.

1. Colour in Lip Lips by Etude House (SGD$17.90) / Don't know which colour

This product is very creamy, rich and smooth. Easy application to the lips. It leaves a shade of pastel on the lips, giving an extra cuteness! This tint also leaves a transparent shine, which lighten up the entire makeup! The colour don't transfer and it can usually last me from the morning till after lunch. 1 touch up is enough for my entire day. =)
However, its quite watery, so its not easy to apply evenly on the lips, so what I usually do is to use my finger to blend it, with the heat of our finger, the nice lip colour is done in no time.

2. touchinSOL Technicolor Lip and Cheek Tint with Powder Finish (with SPF10) (About $20 I think) (Colour #04)
Chance upon this product while passing by Watson 1 day... I got attracted to its 'Powder Finish', cos most lip tints are either gloss or matt, I got the 'Mystique Coral - #04, a shade in between pink and peach.
The lip tint is not as watery and more matt, thus making the application easy. The colour is also lighter and softer in compare, so it may not be suitable if you are looking of a more distinctive lips look.
Lasting wise, this lip tint is not as lasting as the previous one from Etude. The colour is more or less gone before lunch if I had breakfast that day. A bit dying too, so I usually double up with a lip bum.
The lip tint also double up as a blushes, if you have limited space in the bag, you can consider getting this. The lip tint turns powdery instantly when you rubbed or padded it lightly, becoming a nice shade of blushes. But careful not to overdo, the colour can get quite pigmented on the cheeks.

3. Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack (Colour: Bubble Pink) - About $12 from Qoo10
It's actually a lip tattoo that can last you throughout the day. Or should I say it leaves a light shade of colour on your lips throughout the day, its purpose is to ensure there is always some colour on your lips so you don't have to worry touching up because you know there is always colour and you won't have the situation of a dull lips.

Its actually like jelly, sticky and thick. All you need to do is to apply on your lips, wait for it to dry then peel it off. Then you will see a light shade of colour imprint onto your lips.

Because the lip tint is sticky and thick, its quite hard to apply, but you have to make sure you don't make a mess, if not be prepare to see Ronald Mcdonald later. The colour at this point is very dark, but its not the actual colour, the final result is much lighter. The feeling after application is a little minty and it gets tight when dying.

I would suggest applying a thicker layer if not you will have problem peeling off later.

You have to wait for it to dry completely, about 10 min, which is something I dragged about in using this lip tint. So I don't usually use it on my rush working mornings.

When its dry, peel it off carefully.
And DA! we got the colour.
I usually top it with another glossy lip colour, because I personally find it a bit light. However I like how it saves my time from touching up the colour although the initial preparation / waiting time can be a bit long.
Btw, the after taste is a bit sour so ya... a bit weird...

Ok that's all folks!
Thank you for reading up and hope you like it!

Product review: Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water

Hello all!
So sorry for disappearing again, am really packed up with a new project recently. An exciting upcoming project that I really hope can share with you guys soon! I am sure all the pretty ladies will like it!

Anyway, today I would like to share some pointers of a new product I tried recently. I bought the Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water to replace my ZA Cleansemax, a gel-like remover. I am quite a lazy person when it comes to removing makeup, but I always try my best to pull myself up to at least clean up my face before hitting the bed no matter how tire I am. So it will be awesome if I can get hold of a remover that is quick and effective.

I find the ZA Cleansemax a bit stickly after-use and the removing power is not that fantastic either. I first decided the cleansing water is because 1) its scent; a soft taste of green tea, totally lighted up the mood.
 2) its price; $20 for such a huge bottle, worth buy. The bottle is almost as big as my face.
For a side note, I have a separate remover for eye and lips make-up. Most of my eye makeup is water-proof, so cleansing water is definitely not enough to do the job. I am currently using the Eye make-up remove by 1028, you can read my review here.

The cleansing water comes with a pump, so you can simply press your cotton pads onto the pump, very hygienic and convenience to use. However, I find the pump a little too strong, many of the time when I pumped, the water overflow and 'shoot' out.

To use is very sample.
1) Use a clean cotton pad, pump out some cleansing water.
Wipe away the make-up gently. Remember not to stretch / pull your skin too much, its very damaging.

Initially, I tot the cleansing water will be able to wipe off my make-up quickly. To be frank, this product is not as effective as I tot. I used an average of 2 pumps on half of my face, and I need to wipe quite a number of times before I can get my face clean. This is a drawback because I am looking for speed and I don't really like to keep on wiping my face stretching it too much. However, I do believe this product will work well for people with light make-up.

Although I don't buy too much of its cleansing power, I do like the after feeling it left on my skin. My skin definitely felt fresher, non-sticky. You can just leave it if you want, but I prefer to wash my face after that.

That's all of my product review, hope its helpful for you!!

Review: 1028 Hydrating Lip and Eye Makeup Remover

We are back after a long day and all we want is to quickly remove all the make-up on the face and jump onto the bed ZZZZZZZZzzzzz. A very simple and humble request, but hit the wall when it comes to eye makeup removal because most of the eye products used are water and smudge-proof, not easy to come off without a good removal.

I've been using the Hydrating Lip and Eye Makeup Remover by 1028 Visual Therapy for a month now, I will say that I am really impress with the result. My eye makeup is easily removed in seconds, effective and quick, just to my liking.

You may know that I am already a fan of 1028 Visual Therapy, they have a lot other good products at reasonable pricetags. I have previously wrote a product review for their Big Eyes! Magnifier Mascara and Waterproof Extreme Eyeliner pen, you may be interested to check them out too!

The removal comes in a handy plastic bottle, a great choice for holiday and overnight when we have limited bag size. Although it's a small bottle (75ml), it can lasts for quite a while because a bean size of removal is already sufficient to clean up 1 side of the eye.

The removal is made of a gentle formula of pH7.5 equivalent to a Tear drop. It not only removes waterproof make up easily but also contains highly concentrated butylene glycol providing intense moisture boost to the skin, leaving the skin fresh and subtle. The main product ingredients are Hexylene Glycol, Licorice Extract, Green Tea Extract - everything good for our skin!

Following is a result after 1 wipe - waterproof liquid liner + waterproof gel liner + lipstick + eye shadow

Result after 1 wipe
Most of my eye cosmetics are waterproof =D

I no longer has to keep rubbing my eye lids, trying so hard to wipe away the makeup, and risk losing my precious eye lashes. On a side note, constantly rubbing of eyelids is not good too, because it stretches the skin around the eye too much and results in winkles and saggy eyes.

This removal works superb for me, I really believe it will become your best choice too!

Original price per bottle is $12.90, but do check out 1028 facebook and instagram for latest promotion and updates!

Their products can be found in most SaSa, Watson and John Little or their e-stores at Qoo10 1028 Official and 1028sg.com!

Hope you find the review helpful!
Please feel free to leave any comment and till next time!

Antman the Movie

Just caught the movie "Antman', yet another creation by Marvel last week.

I am truly a fan of these Superheros movies, and my greatest hero is no other than Spiderman! I am always upset that Spiderman is not consider as one of the Avengers, but still I think he is just great in his stand alone movies.

Anyway, I was a little skeptical before I watched the movie, because I totally haven heard of 'Antman'. I thought it's a new 'Man' created by Marvel, it was only after the movie when I asked my dearest friend Google and found out this is a classic hero character as well. So just how many heroes does Marvel has?

Anyway, I find this movie quite nice. Marvel's Superhero movies are not just about fighting, their scripts are always very fine written with a touch of humble and funny characters. I was laughing quite a lot throughout this movie.

Antman is actually a Suit, so any commoners wearing this suit will inherit the superpower of an Antman, but of cause with proper training to control the powers.
So this story is about this Suit inverted by an old Scientist long ago, but he decided not to reveal this technology to the public because it's a threat to the whole world if this piece of technology is not put into proper use. This scientist owned a well known technology firm and he has a very smart student as his assistant. But ended up this smart student was trying to steal the Antman technology but failed, and managed to chase the old scientist out of the company.

So the real story starts when many years later this student managed to create a similar 'Antman' technology and he is up to no good. So the old scientist and his daughter decided to steal this technology so as to prevent the end of world or something. So they need a Man to wear the Antman suit that the scientist invented, become the Antman and steal the technology. Yup you're right, in the end the Antman managed to steal the technology and saved the world.

His power:
As written on wiki
"Ant-Man had the power to shrink himself (and other people and objects along with himself) to the size of an ant and return to normal. Over time, he has acquired the ability to change size at will, seemingly without the need for the gas.[volume & issue needed] His cybernetic helmet allows rudimentary telepathic communication with insects, and is equipped with sound amplification equipment allowing normal-sized humans to hear him. The helmet also has a retractable plexiglass face shield and a limited air supply. Lang retained his normal strength in ant size."

Although I find this movie nice, I am still very much freak out during many parts of the movie. Because Antman has the power to communicate with ants, so expect a lot of ants scenes! It really itches my whole body all the way up to the tip of my scalp. omg!!!! I must stop recalling now....
Especially those red ants~~~~~ arggggggggggg

I will give this movie a 4/5 popcorn, I will recommend people who has a thing for super heroes to go for this movie. Not a very amazing plot or twisted storyline, but it's still a good catch.

Ok that's all!

Review: 1028 WATERPROOF EXTREME EYELINER PEN!

Sponsored Post

I have to be honest that I was completely new to 1028 Visual Therapy previously. It is only recently that a good friend of mine introduced me to the friendly 1028 team, and I was given the chance to try out their products and provide my honest feedback.

The brand 1028 is a Taiwanese drugstore brand that produce "Skin Care Cosmetics", a way to infuse skincare essence into cosmetics. So while we are looking good, our skin is also feeling good. Long hours of makeup is harmful to our skin, so we have to be cautious in selecting our face products.

Of all the products I tried, my favourite is the WATERPROOF EXTREME EYELINER PEN; a gel pencil liner.
My exceptions of an awesome eyeliner are WATERPROOF, SMUDGE PROOF and LONG LASTING. And I am so glad to have found this eyeliner pen from 1028, which matched all my 3 exceptions. This liner also contains natural essence such as jojoba seed oil and avocado oil to moisturize and protect our eyelids.

I got their latest colour: Copper, this eyeliner only comes in Brown and Black previously.
I've compared the copper colour with the common brown we see in the market.

I did a smudge proof test for the liner.
To note: I did not apply anything else on my hand and I applied a thick layer of liner about 5-6 stokes.

Not complete dried.
Then... I waited for a while more and did the test again.

Totally clean!

I continued with the Waterproof Test

Totally clean!

The 1028 Extreme Eyeliner Pen comes with a built-in sharpener and smudge tip, very convenience to use.

I am really loving this eye liner, it is so easy to use to create the different looks to suit my mood.

Review summary
Pros
  • Super smudge-proof, waterproof and long-lasting, very suitable for summer and humid weather.
  • Easy removal using eye make-up removal.
  • Smooth, rich and even application. Easy to control to create the look we want.
  • Built-in sharpener and smudge tip, very convenience. Good choice for staycation and holiday when we have limited space in the bag.
  • Not just a make-up tool, also contain essence like jojoba seed oil and avocado oil to moisturize and protect our eyelids.
  • Comes in 3 pretty shades, personally suggest the Copper one.
  • Very very price friendly at $14.90 each.
Cons
  • This liner pen may takes a bit more time to be completely dried, But after its completed dried, it works wonder.
  • I think this is a Con for ALL gelish liner pen: Sharpening. I just feel that its wasteful to sharpen it, but we cannot avoid doing so when we want to have the sharp tips.

1028 Visual Therapy has lot of other great products, you can visit their Facebook for latest updates!
Their products can be found in most SaSa, Watson and John Little or their e-stores at Qoo10 1028 Official and 1028sg.com!
