Its Lip Tints MADNESS!

Hello Lovelies

I am into different kinds of lip tints recently. I used to be a person who can go out with full make-up without applying any lip colour. Call me lazy but I just don't like to keep touching up the colour when I know the colour will be gone in like 1-2 hours.

I come to understand the importance of a nice lip colour to bring out the energy, looking better and healthier. Even without any makeup, some colour to the lips will brighten the entire face. I fell in love with lip tints because its longer lasting and mostly are not as dying as some of the long lasting lip sticks, usually the matt ones.

Not all lip tints are lasting to be frank, you have to keep trying to find the right one for you.

I will be sharing my top 3 lip tints at the moment. These 3 lip tints look different, smell different and feel different, but all are able to give the long lasting lips colour without dying the lips. So I thought it will be nice to do a short review for them.

1. Colour in Lip Lips by Etude House (SGD$17.90) / Don't know which colour

This product is very creamy, rich and smooth. Easy application to the lips. It leaves a shade of pastel on the lips, giving an extra cuteness! This tint also leaves a transparent shine, which lighten up the entire makeup! The colour don't transfer and it can usually last me from the morning till after lunch. 1 touch up is enough for my entire day. =)
However, its quite watery, so its not easy to apply evenly on the lips, so what I usually do is to use my finger to blend it, with the heat of our finger, the nice lip colour is done in no time.

2. touchinSOL Technicolor Lip and Cheek Tint with Powder Finish (with SPF10) (About $20 I think) (Colour #04)
Chance upon this product while passing by Watson 1 day... I got attracted to its 'Powder Finish', cos most lip tints are either gloss or matt, I got the 'Mystique Coral - #04, a shade in between pink and peach.
The lip tint is not as watery and more matt, thus making the application easy. The colour is also lighter and softer in compare, so it may not be suitable if you are looking of a more distinctive lips look.
Lasting wise, this lip tint is not as lasting as the previous one from Etude. The colour is more or less gone before lunch if I had breakfast that day. A bit dying too, so I usually double up with a lip bum.
The lip tint also double up as a blushes, if you have limited space in the bag, you can consider getting this. The lip tint turns powdery instantly when you rubbed or padded it lightly, becoming a nice shade of blushes. But careful not to overdo, the colour can get quite pigmented on the cheeks.

3. Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack (Colour: Bubble Pink) - About $12 from Qoo10
It's actually a lip tattoo that can last you throughout the day. Or should I say it leaves a light shade of colour on your lips throughout the day, its purpose is to ensure there is always some colour on your lips so you don't have to worry touching up because you know there is always colour and you won't have the situation of a dull lips.

Its actually like jelly, sticky and thick. All you need to do is to apply on your lips, wait for it to dry then peel it off. Then you will see a light shade of colour imprint onto your lips.

Because the lip tint is sticky and thick, its quite hard to apply, but you have to make sure you don't make a mess, if not be prepare to see Ronald Mcdonald later. The colour at this point is very dark, but its not the actual colour, the final result is much lighter. The feeling after application is a little minty and it gets tight when dying.

I would suggest applying a thicker layer if not you will have problem peeling off later.

You have to wait for it to dry completely, about 10 min, which is something I dragged about in using this lip tint. So I don't usually use it on my rush working mornings.

When its dry, peel it off carefully.
And DA! we got the colour.
I usually top it with another glossy lip colour, because I personally find it a bit light. However I like how it saves my time from touching up the colour although the initial preparation / waiting time can be a bit long.
Btw, the after taste is a bit sour so ya... a bit weird...

Ok that's all folks!
Thank you for reading up and hope you like it!

Product review: Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water

Hello all!
So sorry for disappearing again, am really packed up with a new project recently. An exciting upcoming project that I really hope can share with you guys soon! I am sure all the pretty ladies will like it!

Anyway, today I would like to share some pointers of a new product I tried recently. I bought the Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water to replace my ZA Cleansemax, a gel-like remover. I am quite a lazy person when it comes to removing makeup, but I always try my best to pull myself up to at least clean up my face before hitting the bed no matter how tire I am. So it will be awesome if I can get hold of a remover that is quick and effective.

I find the ZA Cleansemax a bit stickly after-use and the removing power is not that fantastic either. I first decided the cleansing water is because 1) its scent; a soft taste of green tea, totally lighted up the mood.
 2) its price; $20 for such a huge bottle, worth buy. The bottle is almost as big as my face.
For a side note, I have a separate remover for eye and lips make-up. Most of my eye makeup is water-proof, so cleansing water is definitely not enough to do the job. I am currently using the Eye make-up remove by 1028, you can read my review here.

The cleansing water comes with a pump, so you can simply press your cotton pads onto the pump, very hygienic and convenience to use. However, I find the pump a little too strong, many of the time when I pumped, the water overflow and 'shoot' out.

To use is very sample.
1) Use a clean cotton pad, pump out some cleansing water.
Wipe away the make-up gently. Remember not to stretch / pull your skin too much, its very damaging.

Initially, I tot the cleansing water will be able to wipe off my make-up quickly. To be frank, this product is not as effective as I tot. I used an average of 2 pumps on half of my face, and I need to wipe quite a number of times before I can get my face clean. This is a drawback because I am looking for speed and I don't really like to keep on wiping my face stretching it too much. However, I do believe this product will work well for people with light make-up.

Although I don't buy too much of its cleansing power, I do like the after feeling it left on my skin. My skin definitely felt fresher, non-sticky. You can just leave it if you want, but I prefer to wash my face after that.

That's all of my product review, hope its helpful for you!!

We love Horror Movies, perhaps not

Dear all, I knew I have been MIA recently. Why? I have just started my new day job after a good few months of rest at home, lazing around watching tv eating potato chips. My office is kinda far home, in avg I need a good 1hr 20min per trip, so is like 3hr life wasted daily for traveling. I hate the part of squeezing like a sandwich in train, but I understand its part of life living in a buzz city vibe like Singapore. Even if I own a car, the cycle will repeat with myself cursing in the traffic jams. Peak hours aren't friendly and hard to mess with.

Anyway back to my post, Horror movies? My man and I enjoy watching movies a lot, it made up a great part of our usual dates. I knew some people will say its boring, but how many times will a couple curdles over a TV show out of the movie dates?

Horror movies are a good choice of movie for dates, especially for the men who will have an advantage. Trilling and horror are really not my cup of tea, I usually don't watch such movies alone or with my friends. I will spent most of the movie time hiding my head to the person next to me leaving only 1 eye out. I find it quite embarrassing infront of my friends, but I have completely no issue with my man, he understands me very well so we always curdle throughout the movie with me occasionally screaming and stunning him off.

We caught 'Sinister 2' last night. It's movie about Boogie man. There are a lot of sayings about 'Boogie man', but generally it's a kind of devil who punishes bad kids and making these kids to do something bad/ scary, or some says they actually fed on these kids. Whatsoever, nothing good.

So for Sinister 2, the story line is very familiar to the first one, except that the first one everyone died and the later one left 3 living ones, but based on the open ending (like all horror movies do) they will all still be dead later.

You can find a good write-up of the storyline here by wiki.

This movies has alot of creatures jumping out suddenly and you can hear everyone screaming, really not a choice for weak hearts and kids.

I will give this movie a 3/5 popcorn.
The storyline is very much the same as the first one, so it's not hard to anticipate what's next, but you will still get it from the sudden loud musics and appearance of the boogie man.
You know some of the horror movies are just so hard to understand, too much of the focus is put to scare people off that the storyline is totally neglected and ended up we viewers have no idea what the hell is going on. But for 'Sinister 2', the storyline is not hard to follow and you will still get the frights along the way.

Yea, that's my thought for the movies. Hope you will enjoy your movie dates as much as I do!

Jes

New Hairstyle New Start

It was an impromptu haircut, a no warning hairstyle.
I was rather emotional recently, so decided to get a haircut to change my luck or something. For a recap of how I looked like previously:
I will say I chopped off quite a fair bit of hair. I am still getting used to short hair, I have the habit of putting my hair to one side of my shoulder but now it feels weird to have 'no hair' to do this.

As usual I went to my stylist, Jeffrey from Hair Alley, I always feel safe to have him take care of my head. To be frank, I didn't expect to cut it short, I think adrenaline overridden me and it just happened, lucky it turns out good if not I will go bang the wall and start pulling my scalp off again.

I requested a 'see through fringe/bangs'. It's actually a popular way to cut the bangs in Korea, as the name tells, you can 'see through' the bangs, exposing a bit of the forehead. The bangs is thin and wispy, and helps to soften the facial features for a more girly and sweet look. However, what I like best about this kinda fringe is that it has the flexibility to leave it as bangs or side fringe. Because only the center fringe is short, you can easily hide it and wipe it to the side for a more 'grown up' look.

I have to admit my fringe looks a bit odd now, because I have been having side parting for so long that my bangs keep flying back to the side. It will takes a while to adapt, I hope....

Ok, please allows me to photobomb now!
